IDA Medal Program
The new IDA Medal Program was created to recognize IDA riders for excellence in their test riding during their collegiate career.
Medals to be given in two tiers (Silver and Gold) at each level. Riders qualify by earning certain scores 4 times within the same level throughout their collegiate career (4 year eligibility window) within IDA.
Gold Medal: 4 scores at 70% or higher
Silver Medal: 4 scores at 65% to 69%
Example: An upper level training earns a score of 65% in their first year of showing, a score of 66% in their second year and scores of 65% and 67% in their third year of showing. They now earn their Silver Medal in Upper Training.
What will riders receive: a medal pin, certificate of achievement, recognition on IDA website and social media
Tracking responsibilities belong to each rider.
Once a rider earns scores, the rider or their coach should submit the application for the medal to the National Secretary for verification and to receive their medal.
This is beginning with scores earned in the 2025-2026 year.
